As a Senior Principal of Prophet Equity, Brian Hegi is responsible for assessing strategic viability and crafting value creation plans for target acquisitions. In addition, Brian utilizes his core operational experience to implement high value initiatives at portfolio companies.
Before joining Prophet Equity, Brian was a Vice President with AlixPartners’ Performance Improvement practice, a results oriented global leader in corporate restructuring and operations improvement consulting. Over the course of his four-year career at AlixPartners, he worked on numerous operational improvement projects in the food distribution, consumer packaged goods, automotive aftermarket, food manufacturing, electronics and retail industries. Much of his work focused on improving supply chain efficiencies, reducing direct material costs and improving product profitability within middle market companies.
Prior to business school, Brian was a key member of the start-up team at ICG Commerce, an Internet Capital Group portfolio company seeking to create the first comprehensive procurement services firm. He joined ICG Commerce from AT Kearney, where he focused on reducing manufacturing complexity within the automotive industry.
Brian has an MBA in Finance and Management from the University of Texas, where he received the Dean’s Award for Academic Excellence, as well as, a BA in Economics from Vanderbilt University.
