As a Senior Associate of Prophet Equity, Mr. McCutchen is focused on sourcing, structuring, and closing high-return investment opportunities. Matt leverages almost a decade of investment banking, special situation and private equity transaction experience to also assess the strategic viability and craft value creation plans for target acquisitions. Before joining Prophet Equity, Matt was most recently an investment professional with The ComVest Group, a $600M private equity fund based out of Florida, where he led transactions, assisted in portfolio company management, and sourcing and screening new transaction opportunities. Prior to The ComVest Group, Matt was a Senior Associate with Sun Capital Partners where he supported the closings of multiple platform acquisitions, add-on investments, and financings. Prior to Sun Capital, Matt was an analyst for Saloman Smith Barney in their investment banking group focused on financial institutions where he supported the IPO’s of several client companies. Matt graduated from the University of Florida with a Masters in accounting and has passed the CPA exam.
