As a Senior Advisor with Prophet Equity, Sam plays a key role in deal sourcing, raising capital for investments and networking within the limited partner community in the US. With decades of investment banking, institutional sales, and private equity experience, he brings a wealth of broad based capability and contacts. Moreover, his experience allows him to source deals from a vast network of personal and professional contacts, dating back to 1968, when he started in the investment banking business. Before joining Prophet Equity, Sam assisted a Dallas-based private equity firm in raising capital for transactions and their $280M buyout fund. Prior to this, he served as a Managing Director with Phillips Capital/ West AM, a private equity firm, where he assisted in raising approximately $900M in capital which was invested in private equity firms. Sam’s experience also included working in institutional sales at McCormack Partners, Forstman, Leff, Cargill, and Blyth Eastman.
