As a Vice President at Prophet Equity, Mr. Cohen is focused on sourcing, structuring, and closing high-return investment opportunities. Trevor leverages his bulge bracket investment banking experience to assess the strategic viability of potential acquisitions, craft value creation plan(s) and manage implementation in the post-transaction environment. Prior to joining Prophet Equity, Trevor was a senior analyst at Bear Stearns in the Global Natural Resources Group. His coverage universe included: coal, drilling, engineering & construction, exploration & production, oilfield services, refining and alternative energy. Before joining Natural Resources, he worked in the Financial Institutions Group (“FIG”) covering community banking along the East Coast, West Coast and in the Southwest. While at Bear Stearns, Trevor was engaged in multiple sell-side capacities, advising clients on asset and company level sales, merger & acquisition financing alternatives, capitalization structuring and liquidity solutions. Additionally, he worked with clients on a number of initial public offerings, secondary equity offerings, private investments in public equities, senior facilities, high-yield placements, convertibles and derivatives. Trevor graduated with a BBA in Finance & Accounting (Financial Consulting), Business Honors from Southern Methodist University where he was presented the Cox Business School Most Outstanding award as the top class graduate.
